SLS Bronze Medallion
This course is for new members aged 15+ years looking to join the club. The Bronze Medallion provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to participate in Surf Life Saving patrol operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia, and is essential to complete before you are eligible to patrol.

Skills Maintenance Check (SMC)
All Active members must undertake their proficiency SMC before December 31 annually.
As per SLSA Policy and NCSLSC by-laws, all Active and Long Service members with an award must:
Complete a Skills Maintenance Check (SMC) before the 31 December each year, or
Apply for an exemption from patrols and/or SMCs
Note: Failure to complete may result in your membership being suspended and/or terminated.

Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)
This course is for junior members aged 13-14 years. The SRC course provides participants with skills and knowledge of surf awareness, aquatic rescue operations and resuscitation to participate in lifesaving operations and act as Water Safety Personnel.
