Get Involved

  • Attend Training Sessions

From board training to Bob’s Boxing, there’s something for everyone to get involved in. Check out our training schedule to find opportunities to train and stay fit around the club.

  • Get Social

Attend our Friday morning Deck Cafe for coffee and treats with friends, our Sunset Bar for a family friendly sundowner, or visit our events page for social events throughout the season.

  • Participate in Patrols

We encourage everyone qualified to participate in patrols throughout the season, not just our active members. Check your roster, or sign up for a voluntary patrol and meet new people.

  • Compete in Surf Sports

Introduction to competition begins with Little Nippers at u8, all the way through to Masters and 70+, and it’s never too late to start competing. With a variety of disciplines, there is something for all interests, both on and off the water, as well as competitive Lifesaving events.

  • Upskill with Education Courses

All lifesavers must earn their core competency of a Bronze Medallion, but did you know you can upskill with further education courses? Learn advanced resuscitation, IRB driving, drone operation and more.

  • Volunteer

Maybe you’re a handy man, a brilliant baker, a social media star or a cleaning machine. Whatever you’re into, if you’ve got the skills, consider volunteering your time to support the Club.

Volunteer Opportunities

Join a Committee

Committee members are selected based on their expertise and capacity to support club functions. We have a number of committees, including our Sponsorship Committee, Social Committee, Life Membership Committee, Education Committee, and Nipper Committee. These committees meet several times throughout the year, and we couldn’t do what we do without them. Contact a committee below if you think you’re the right fit.

Volunteer Roles

Service Hours

Service hours are different to Patrol hours, they are usually non-lifesaving and non-patrol related, and all members with a Working With Children’s Check can complete service hours.

  • For Active Members, service hours can only contribute to up to 12 of 16 hour patrol requirements, at least 4 hours of active patrol must be completed.

  • All members can earn an unlimited number of service hours by carrying out other volunteering at the Club. This could be general maintenance, cleaning, coaching services or other work as agreed.

All Service Hours must be approved by a Board Member or the General Manager.
