Code of Conduct

  • Whilst wearing the Surf Life Saving patrol or competition uniforms you are representing the SLS organisation and our club to the public, you will act in a professional and responsible manner, show respect to all participants and members of the public, and uphold the club’s values and that of Surf Life Saving WA and Surf Life Saving of Australia.
  • Unacceptable behaviour will result in disciplinary action and possible reprimand or cancellation of your membership.
  • If consuming alcohol at the Club Bar, or on club premises, you will do so in a responsible manner.
  • You will adhere to the SLSA anti-doping policy and that use of illicit or recreational drugs is forbidden on club premises, at SLS carnivals or during any club organised travel.
  • Act in accordance with the SLSA Child Safe Policy, which includes but is not limited to:
    • So far as is reasonably practicable, protect children and young people from all forms of abuse, bullying and exploitation.
    • Reporting any concerning behaviour or reasonable belief of abuse or neglect to a Person in a Position of Authority and/or to external authorities such as the Police.
    • If volunteering, hold a current WA Working with Children Card, unless exempt.
  • Pay proper regard to the club’s unique location including respect and courtesy for residential neighbours and care for the environment.
  • As a member of NCSLSC, your membership is subject to and bound by the policies of SLSA, SLSWA and the NCSLSC Constitution and By-laws.
