Cadets

G'Day and Welcome Cadets,

Well, the Summer 2009 / 2010 Summer season has drawn to a close (on 28 March). We finished a great Cadets Programme for this season with a phenomenal new event, the "Barchetta North Cott Gold", and on a perfect autumn day, welcomed our graduating class of Under 14's into the new ranks of North Cott cadets, and into the senior ranks of our club.

To keep in touch with our preparations for next summer, check back on these pages from time to time during winter.

If you're interested in becoming a new member of North Cott Surf Club, contact our office. If you're interested in winter activities, don't forget the official SLSWA Board Riding competition happens at the end of winter, when you've had a chance to get back into your wetsuit and get some waves. Again, check with the club office for details.

We hope that Cadets have enjoyed this summer's activities - weekly beach sessions, specialised surf skills training, competitions, our Rottnest trip, and general mucking around on the beach and enjoying ourselves.

See you all next season!

New Look :: New Time :: New Age

Cadets surf season will re-commence in October 2010.

The regular Cadets sessions now starts every Sunday morning at 10.00am (be there at 9.45am), immediately after Nippers. We will have more time, more space on the beach, more equipment and more fun.

All Cadets are encouraged to join the Nippers sessions as either Junior AGM's or Nipper Patrol. You will get patrol hours for either of these. But you must be reliable, and turn up at 8.45 to sign-in or report to the appropriate Senior AGM. This is already up and running, and the Nippers are loving it!

"Cadets" now starts at Under-15's rather than Under-14's, so that we align with your first official year of eligibility for senior competition. Anyone from Under-15 through to Under-19 is a Cadet and very welcome to attend our Sunday sessions.

The Well-Rounded Clubbie :: Building a Better Cadet

The aim of the North Cott Cadets Programme is to allow you a balance of club activities, competition, community activities, surf qualifications (SRC & Bronze all the way up) and social events:

  • To give you exposure to the many benefits North Cott has to offer as a club and a community
  • To keep you excited and enthused, engaged and active
  • To introduce you to senior membership
  • To provide as many opportunities as possible for your contribution to the club
  • To give you a great place to be and to grow, and to come to meet your mates and make new ones
  • To keep the salt water pumping through your veins

Did I miss anything...
